Gridwork has secured SHEPI air conditioning and energy efficiency works. We’re looking for licensed trade crews and specialist contractors to deliver allocated work packages in occupied homes across NSW.
Gridwork is the head contractor for these Social Housing Energy Performance Initiative (SHEPI) works. We’re bringing together crews that can install, upgrade, reinstate and finish each allocated property properly.
You can put forward one trade, several trades or a complete property team. Tell us where you work, how many crews you can commit and when you can mobilise.
Contract directly with Gridwork. Work to an approved scope.
Core installation crews and supporting trades, working together to complete each approved property package.
Crews with several trades can put forward a complete property package. Identify the work you perform directly and any proposed subcontractors.
Supporting work is allocated only where required. No contractor is expected to perform licensed work outside its authorisations. The approved work order defines the package.
We’re looking for realistic commitments: the crews you can supply, the places you can cover and the work you can finish to the required standard.
Your trade. Your regions. Your available crews.
Tell us your trades, base location, delivery regions, crew capacity and earliest mobilisation date.
Provide licences, insurance, relevant experience and referees. Discuss the package, delivery method, rates and any declared exclusions.
Agree the subcontract particulars, crew supervision, safety documents, inductions and project system training before field mobilisation.
Complete the allocated works, commissioning, certificates, photographs and resident handover. Submit complete records with your claim.
Respectful communication, property protection and resident privacy are essential.
Follow the project appointment process, with at least 48 hours notice unless another lawful arrangement is approved.
Leave each visit safe and clean. Complete commissioning, resident demonstration and property records.
Your crew needs to deliver both the installation and the records that verify it. Allow for commissioning, certificates, photographs and defect resolution as part of the package.
Minimum AC manufacturer warranty
Minimum AC workmanship warranty
Minimum ceiling fan equipment warranty
Minimum warranty requirements specified for the SHEPI works.
Property specific risk assessments, competent personnel, relevant licences and safe work controls.
Inspection and test plans, approval points, commissioning and a clear process for resolving defects.
Photographs with dates and locations, model and serial details, electrical certificates and handover records.
Licensed refrigerant handling, waste separation, lawful disposal and recycling evidence where required.
Choose the regions your team can realistically cover. Let us know your base, travel limits and whether you can operate crews in more than one zone.
Indicative SHEPI program: 1,473 properties across four zones. These are planning quantities, not guaranteed allocations to any contractor.

We’ll assess the fit between your resources and the allocated work. Your business contracts with Gridwork, with scope, rates and delivery expectations agreed through the contractor process.
Put your crew forwardDocuments are reviewed through the contractor onboarding process. Send an introduction first; the team will confirm what is needed for your package.
The contractor conditions provide a standard 30 day term, with shorter categories available at Gridwork’s discretion based on delivery, quality, compliance and documentation.
The applicable category and payment terms are governed by your executed subcontract and may be reviewed. The conditions also specify 2.5% retention for performance, defects and recalls, released under the subcontract terms.
Work is allocated by approved package, property and region. Volumes depend on the program, access, capacity and performance. An introduction is the start of a contractor assessment, not a guaranteed allocation.
Yes. Gridwork has secured the SHEPI air conditioning and associated energy efficiency works and is seeking contractors to carry out allocated packages. You would contract with Gridwork, rather than bid for the head contract.
Yes. Introduce your business for a specific trade, several trades or a complete property package. State what you perform directly, your available crews, preferred regions and any proposed subcontractors.
Supply and installation, and installation only, are both identified in the work packages. The team will confirm who supplies equipment and materials for your allocation. Do not assume a supply arrangement before agreeing the scope and rates.
No. Gas decommissioning, insulation, asbestos work, scaffolding and building repairs are property specific and require an approved allocation. Electrical and refrigerant activities must be performed by appropriately licensed personnel.
Rates are agreed through the contractor process and should include the ordinary costs of delivering the specified item. Claims need the required supporting work and evidence records. Standard payment is 30 days; shorter performance categories are discretionary. The executed subcontract governs the applicable terms and retention.
Send your business name, trade capability, contact details, preferred zones, available crews and earliest start date. Mention relevant occupied housing experience. The form below sends your introduction directly to the Gridwork project team.
A strong introduction is practical. Your trade, your regions, your people and your availability. Give the project team enough detail to discuss the right package.
